Summer Mystery Shopping
The weather is getting warmer and that means it is time to find Summer activities. Mystery shopping is an excellent way to take advantage of the whole concept of being paid and/or reimbursed for activities you were going to participate in anyway.
Hotel shops are available in just about every state. You might have been thinking about taking a weekend trip for a change of pace.
Accepting a hotel assignment is a great way to save on lodging expenses. It is also a nice change of scenery. Many hotel assignments are for one night only. Creative shoppers may be able to find 2 one night assignments near each other or an assignment in an extended stay hotel. Some extended stay hotel assignments will reimburse the shopper for a week's lodging, even though the shopper is only required to stay one night. If the shopper wants to stay the entire week, the report is simply due within 24 hours after checkout.
Apartment shops are a way to earn extra cash without having to purchase any items. Fees range from $15 to $40, depending on the company providing the assignment. If you wanted to travel and justify your hotel expense if you couldn't locate a hotel assignment, it might be worth finding an apartment assignment. Staying in touch with a scheduler is a convenient way to learn what apartment assignments are near where you want to travel. You could visit one or two apartment communities near your hotel and earn your lodging with your hotel shop fees.
Most museums have gift shops and most gift shops are mystery shop assignments. You could visit your local museum and be paid to visit the gift shop. Some museums have the IMAX movies, which are also assignments.
Grocery store assignments are a wonderful method of collecting items for a summer picnic. You may want to visit at least 2 grocery stores to get all the items you will need for your meal.
Time share visits are also a great way to earn some extra money. Not only will you get paid to make the visit, but you will frequently get a gift from the time share facility. Sometimes you are awarded a cash incentive or tickets to a theater or theme park.
Trailer checks are a unique way to see a movie without having to pay for it. Some companies reimburse for 2 tickets or send a letter from the theater admitting you for free. If you accept multiple assignments, you can take someone to help you with the project. Some theaters even require two different signatures if you have more than one assignment, so you would need to take a person with you. It is a fun way to enjoy the movies without paying for them.
With creative planning, summer activities don't have to involve a lot of expenses.
