Bank Shops
Bank shops are an easy way to make extra cash since they don't require any purchases up front. Most bank assignments will require a shopper to make a phone call before visiting the location and an in person meeting with a bank officer. Some companies will want the shopper to meet with a specific person (or "target"). Other assignments won't require a specific employee.
Most bank shops will include a discussion about the type of service that the shopper wants. Typically, a checking or savings account will be the reason that a person is visiting the bank. It is useful to have a scenario to fit your conversation with the bank employee. The shopper could say that they recently moved into town and want to find a local bank.
Here are some topics that could be discussed while on a bank shop:
- A new savings account.
- Researching interest for a CD.
- Taking a trip and wanting information on purchasing traveler's checks.
- Inheriting money from a relative and wanting to get the best interest for the account.
- Starting a business and wanting to have information about another account.
Shoppers who are observant and have good writing skills will get high scores on their reports. Most companies will probably allow some notes to be taken during the visit since it wouldn't be that unusual to want those details. The bank employee may even offer to write down important information. Any additional notes should be written after exiting the bank and when out of view from any employee.
Bank shops are a great way to earn extra money and you don't have to wait for a reimbursement.
